HG Infra Engineering Ltd has secured a major highway construction contract worth ₹3,931.11 crore, excluding taxes, from Welspun Enterprises Limited for a project in Maharashtra. The order marks one of the company’s large project wins and strengthens its order book in the road infrastructure segment.
The project includes the construction of a six-lane highway corridor, with some elevated stretches, along with upgrades to the existing road. The work will cover the Pune to Shirur section of NH-753F and span a minimum design length of 53.40 km. The contract has been awarded on an item-rate basis and will be completed over 36 months.
The company stated that its promoters, promoter group and related companies have no interest in the awarding entity. It also clarified that the deal does not fall under related party transactions.
Earlier in April, HG Infra Engineering Ltd had received another domestic order worth ₹519.33 crore from Mirzapur Thermal Energy (UP) Private Limited. The contract was for railway infrastructure work linked to a 2×800 MW thermal power project in Uttar Pradesh.
That project includes civil works such as earthwork, bridges and station buildings, along with P-way works. It has been awarded under an item rate/BOQ model and carries an execution timeline of 18 months.
Shares of HG Infra Engineering Ltd ended at ₹634.20 on the BSE, up ₹8.60 or 1.37%.
